Revionics has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst for its Optimization solutions access via our portal.  The successful candidate will be an experienced analyst with a history of quickly understanding the complex needs of business and translating those needs into achievable solutions. This person should have experience working with sophisticated technology solutions.  Experience in the retail software industry is preferred. The Business Analyst will collaborate across the Revionics organization, including, Product Management, Development and Services, and be poised to do whatever is necessary to generate high quality results.

Roles and Responsibilities: 
The Business Analyst collaborates with project owners and key stakeholders to ensure existing and requested system changes are documented. Responsible for project planning, documentation, and user interface design as well as support and facilitation of new and complex project requests from business requirements to project delivery. Manages projects to build and enhance Revionics Optimization solutions, while supporting business initiatives for the Development Team. Plays key business analyst role responsible for taking project concepts and transforming them into a detailed set of business requirements and rules to be delivered to technical teams for development and testing. Facilitates discussions amongst business and technical stakeholders across the organization to ensure all groups impacted by a project are given an opportunity to provide the necessary feedback as business requirements are developed and confirmed. Provides high-level project statuses to management.

Key Responsibilities:

•Collaborates directly with project owners and key stakeholders to ensure existing and requested changes are documented for large, complex projects.
•Advocates business needs with the project teams to ensure project implementation successfully reflects the requirements of the project owners and key stakeholders.
•Documents and builds functional specifications encompassing the business requirements specific to each solution.
•Initiates quality assurance via peer review; completes audits on formal project documentation.
•Leads, facilitates and documents project development meetings such as JAD (Joint Application Development) and RAD (Rapid Application Development) review sessions.
•Documents and facilitates the document change management process as well as project sign off from key stakeholders.
•Mentors, trains and provides technical guidance to other Business Analysts.
•Works within Implementation team to improve the quality of project documents, systems documentation and best practices.
•Serves as resource to the team in the resolution of complex business or technical issues.
•Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
•Conducts JAD sessions and requirements reviews to collaboratively develop, document and confirm business requirements and supporting rules to be included in project BRDs.
•Provides support to technical project teams throughout the development and testing project phases to ensure strict adherence to business requirements.
•Facilitates activities and prepares documentation to support the change management process applied to BRDs already submitted for development.
•Plays advocate for Product Management business objectives to be served with each project, as well as the overall company goals to be met each year.
•Provides risk analysis to determine potential issues related to projects and develops recommendations for solutions.
•Ensures changes to business logic defined for each project can be technically supported and does not adversely impact other business groups.
•Serves as a resource in the resolution of complex business or technical issues.
•Manages development team story backlog and priority.   


    Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgment in decision making.
    Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio preferred.    
    Experience with Agile Development Methodology.
    Proficient with graphic design and HTML tools.
    Strong working knowledge and understanding of core business technologies.
    Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with staff members at all levels.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Skilled in conveying concepts and ideas clearly and professionally including correspondence, procedures, etc.
    Skilled in conveying business documents, technical documents and status reports.
    Strong working knowledge and understanding of core business technologies.
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to communicate business requirements to a variety of audiences clearly and concisely.
    Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to research answers to questions about new and abstract concepts.
    Able to interface with business and technical team members serving a variety of functions at all levels within the organization.
    Organized and detail-oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment.
    Able to perform multiple tasks for multiple projects in multiple releases effectively and concurrently.
    Comprehensive and cross-functional knowledge of insurance industry business functions and operations required.    
    Knowledge and understanding of core business technologies such as operating system software, web-based applications, databases and network architecture experience required.
    Knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and processes commonly used to implement technical projects.
    Able to travel approximately 5% of the time on company business.
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required. MBA a plus.
    3-5 years of experience as Business Analyst, with responsibilities writing business or functional requirements for projects implemented to provide technical solutions for business initiatives required.
