Revionics will present an analysis of several methods of "sight unseen" demand forecasting for retail goods using attribute-based models. The speakers will describe the product attributes used, the method of holdout testing used to gauge prediction accuracy and to compare models, and the various modeling approaches employed (regression models, decision trees, and random-forests). The session will describe how these methods performed across a set of test cases using retail demand history.
